OAKLAND – Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable talked to the media after practice regarding the health of Greg Ellis, a familiar face punting at the facility, the upcoming contest against the Kansas City Chiefs and the status of the wide receivers for Sunday.

OAKLAND — Oakland Raiders’ quarterback JaMarcus Russell talks to the media after the 38-0 home loss to the New York Jets. Russell was benched in the second quarter in favor of back-up Bruce Gradkowski.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – I was able to ask Oakland Raiders’ running back Michael Bush about the offensive line and he talked about Sunday’s 44-7 loss at the hands of the New York Giants.

Coach Haley speaks about being the new coach in Kansas City and where he feels his is at this early point in the season. He also offers comparisons of his team needing dicipline to how children need discipline in their development, but in the same breath said that there was no comparison. I think he back away from himself from accidentally calling his players children.

I also asked him about the identity of his football team and if he thought the team has gotten away from it’s run first roots.

Special Teams captain Isaiah Ekejiuba speaks with members of the press after today’s practice. Usually, “Ike” is much more relaxed and always sporting a smile following practice. This time, he’s donned a more serious demeanor; as if he took PERSONAL responsbility for the special teams gaffes last Monday Night. Being the captain, he should feel that way. However in knowing Ike for some time, this was more than just a loss. For him, it seemed personal. I will look for him to see to it personally to whip his guys into a fervor and exact some hurtin/ on Kansas City.
