Suspect arrested in Javon Walker attack

Las Vegas authorities have made an arrest in the robbery and beating case of Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker.

On Tuesday, police Lt. Clinton Nichols stated that 30-year old Arfat Fadel, who was arrested on Friday, is suspected of multiple felonies, including kidnapping and robbery.

Officials are still looking for a second suspect, who they still believe is in Las Vegas.

Walker, 29, was found unconscious on June 16 at an intersection near the Las Vegas Strip with varying injuries. Lt. Nichols has informed the press that the Raider receiver got into a vehicle with two men the night of the attack. Walker then informed the police that $3,000 in cash and about $100,000 in jewelry were stolen after a night of partying in clubs and casinos.

Walker was treated at a Las Vegas hospital right after and was released last Wednesday prior to making his return to Oakland in preparations for the upcoming season.

The Raiders signed the former Packer and Bronco on March 4 to a six-year $55-million deal hoping that he will become their ‘go to’ receiver after ranking at the bottom of the league in passing yards in 2007.
