Oakland Raiders will pick 8th in 2010 NFL Draft
An eleven-loss season landed the Oakland Raiders the eight overall selection in April’s NFL entry draft.
The Raiders, for a seventh straight season, tallied 11 or more losses in a campaign – an NFL worst.
The St. Louis Rams (1-15) hold the first overall pick, followed by the Detroit Lions (2-14), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-13), Washington Redskins (4-12), Kansas City Chiefs (4-12), Seattle Seahawks (5-11), and the Cleveland Browns (5-11).
In recent years, the Raiders have gone with Darrius Heyward-Bey (7th overall pick in 2009), Darren McFadden (4th overall pick in 2008) and JaMarcus Russell (1s overall pick in 2007) as their first round choices.
This year’s draft will begin on Thursday April 22 at 7:30 p.m eastern time. Rounds 2 and 3 will take place on Friday April 23 beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the final four rounds will begin on Saturday April 24 at 10 a.m. Radio City Music Hall will continue to host the annual event.
we need to make a more intelligent pick this year
