Wide Receiver Will Buchanon is back and looking to latch on to the Oakland Raiders this pre-season after a year away from the organization.

As an undrafted free-agent in 2006, Buchanon showed some promise in the pre-season, playing well in the Hall of Fame game, compiling 4-receptions for 50-yards versus the Philadelphia Eagles. But he was unable to make the final 53-man roster, which led to his eventual stay on the practice squad prior to being elevated to the active roster in December of that season. Buchanon hauled in one reception for nine-yards on December 23, 2006, still the only grab of his short career.

On August 16, 2007. Oakland released him and the New York Giants claimed him off waivers, but cut him a few days later before he was picked up by the Kansas City Chiefs and placed on their practice squad.

The Raiders reunited him with his former college coach - Lane Kiffin - as a reserve/future signing on January 11, 2008.
